Writer//Performer//Genius

I am a comedic actor, writer, performer, director, producer, musician, and enjoyer of Nerd’s gummy clusters. I have always been a firm believer that when we live in a world that is so entirely absurd there’s nothing we can do but laugh. I am called to create work that is iconoclastic, satirical, and pretty darn silly. Laughter allows us to take away the power from the systems that harm us and revel in joy as an act of rebellion.

ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME ✰

I have known I was meant to be a performer ever since it was the easiest way to take my parents' attention away from my older brother. Like many other children who thought they were special, I began acting. Acting was the gateway drug to singing, which was the gateway drug to musical theatre, which was the gateway drug to being socially ostracized. Don’t worry, to win back the respect of my peers I did the two coolest things a person can do: learn how to play saxophone and competitive public speaking.

In my time performing I quickly found my calling; it was as if a giant magnet was pulling into the world of the comedic. Initially I fell in love with the feeling I got when I made people laugh. I still believe it is one of life's simplest and greatest joys. That inspired me to keep making jokes and fall further in love with the art of comedy. I loved how generous it was, I loved giving the gift of laughter. I loved how loud it was, I was able to yell my innermost thoughts on a stage for everyone to hear. I love how comedy is one of the greatest catalysts for change, challenging the rigid structures we live in and introducing a healthy amount of chaos into the world. I love how comedy became the only language that made the world make sense to me.

So I got a degree in comedy! I studied the intricate mechanics, the broader applications, and why nothing will ever actually be funnier than farting. I sharpened the edge that was my wit to carve through the jungle of modern day America. I create work that challenges the things we accept as “normal” in our society. I create work that speaks to human experience, uniting people in their shared stories. Most importantly, I create work that is pretty fucking funny.
